Welcome to Signing Blue

Indonesia adalah negara maritim, dengan garis pantai terpanjang kedua di dunia, yang membuat Indonesia menjadi negara kepulauan terbesar di dunia. Potensi maritim yang besar, membuat sektor pariwisata Indonesia terus bertumbuh. Laut adalah sumber mata pencaharian bagi banyak orang. Laut pun mengalami kenaikan nilai ekonomi, yang juga membawa berkah bagi wilayah-wilayah di sekitarnya. Namun, tanpa perilaku yang bertanggungjawab, akan menyebabkan munculnya berbagai dampak negatif. Sampah dan polusi, rusaknya ekosistem bahari, gangguan pada spesies-spesies laut, konflik kepemilikan lahan, dapat menyebabkan kondisi ekonomi dan potensi pariwisata bahari Indonesia menjadi menurun. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sebuah konsep untuk meningkatkan pariwisata bahari Indonesia, yang dapat menjanjikan keberlangsungan alam.

SIGNING BLUE adalah sebuah inisiatif dari Yayasan WWF-Indonesia untuk menyelenggarakan pariwisata bahari yang bertanggungjawab.

Be Part of Signing Blue

There are 3 (three) types of Signing Blue membership, namely for tourists, tour operators and stakeholders. Information on how to register for each membership, click on each section to see more info.

Accommodations, restaurants, tour operators, recreational boats, and more that wish to join Signing Blue as Blue Allies and contribute to responsible marine tourism.
Here’s how you can register as a Blue Allies member:

- Prepare your company documents
- Initial Phase : Application, Feasibility Assessment, and MOU Signing
- Membership Phase : Evaluation and Planning, Membership Authorization
- Enhancement Phase : Business improvement based on the Starfish 1-5 framework

The process begins with a cooperation agreement. An assessment is conducted to ensure all requirements align with Blue Standards. With the support of WWF Indonesia experts, each member has the opportunity to enhance the quality of their sustainable tourism practices.

Governments, parent companies, sister companies, stakeholders, associations, and more who wish to join Signing Blue and become our partners in creating responsible and sustainable marine tourism.
Follow these steps to become a Blue Partner:

- Prepare your documents.
- Initial Phase : Application, Feasibility Assessment, and MOU Signing
- Membership Phase : Development of a cooperation work plan, Membership Authorization
- Mentorship Phase : Implementing the work plan in collaboration with Signing Blue.

As a Blue Traveler, you can access various features on the Signing Blue website, such as geotagging to easily find tourism services from Blue Allies, a points-based reward system for travelers who engage in eco-friendly activities, and exclusive benefits for using services from Blue Allies.
